- Understand the medical implications of coming into contact with venomous or other snakes
- Be able to apply effective first aid for snakebite, and understand the medical management of snakebite
- Have a basic understanding of snake biology and ecology, and know the importance and implications of temperature as it effects snakes
- Be able to identify potential snake hazards, and have an understanding of snake hazard management in the workplace
- Be able to effectively and safely restrain, capture and remove venomous and/or other snakes in the workplace, and in other areas
- Outcomes as relevant to specialist courses (eg field techniques, husbandry)
