Working with Venomous Snakes - Advanced Techniques

Participants must have completed a Living with Wildlife Introduction to Handling Course within the past 12 months to take part in the Advanced Techniques Course.

1 day - maximum 6 participants

  • Participant numbers are reduced due to the intensive nature of the course
  • This course can be run immediately after an Introduction to Handling Course to reduce disruption to your workplace and to enhance participant's handling skills while the introduction course techniques are still fresh in their mind
  • Topics include but are not limited to:
    • Close contact restraint techniques for venomous snakes
    • Alternative methods of capture
    • Effects and medical management of snake bite
    • Snake Bite First Aid updates and revision of first aid techniques
